In just four short years, for the tech-savvy early childhood educator, the iPad has opened up seemingly limitless new learning opportunities in the classroom. This tool’s versatility lies in its exceedingly simple interface, easily manipulated by those curious little hands, while at the same time opening up innumerable uncharted worlds for students to explore. With an experienced approach to this phenomenal tool, the teacher can act as a guide to students as they expand the boundaries of their imagination.

In this workshop I will share with you some of the ways that I have successfully incorporated these apps in the classroom. Then we will work with some of the apps ourselves so that participants leave with a clear understanding of how to incorporate them into classroom learning. We will try out one whiteboard app, one digital storytelling app and finish the session off with the basics of augmented reality.

Some apps that will be shown include, Educreations, Doodlecast Pro, Sonic Pics, Aurasma, and more!
